JAMMU, Sept 8: Eulogizing the unrelenting efforts of JKNPP to uphold the honour and pride of Dogras and its persistent struggle ensuring equitable share and justice to Jammu region, dozens of social activists led by Rajiv Mahajan, president Ram Sena joined Panthers Party in a function held in Jammu in presence of party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh today.
The new entrants pledged to support Harsh Dev Singh in his crusade against the discriminatory policies of successive State Govts with Jammu region and to strengthen Panthers Party so as to empower Jammu region.
Speaking on the occasion Rajiv Mahajan said that NPP alone could safeguard the interests of Jammu region which had been subjected to the most humiliating and hostile treatment by successive State and Central Govts. He said his organization had whole heartedly supported BJP during last elections with the belief that the issues of Jammu would receive priority, which always claimed itself to be the champion of Jammu people.
The myth of BJP’s bravado, however, exploded immediately after its ascendance to power when it relegated its age old principles and ideology including abrogation of Art 370 & 35A, PRC rights to WPR, delimitation of Assembly seats, reservation of Assembly seats for PoJK migrants, equitable share in employment and allocation of funds etc. for the sake of power, Mahajan said.
