RAJOURI, June 16: Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri, Dr Ram Singh, brought laurels to the University by participating in a collaborative Research Programme at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste in Italy.
The programme was organized by ICTP and sponsored by UNESCO, IAEA and European Science Foundation (ESF). The theme of the programme was ‘Chaotic Dynamics: Homoclinic bifurcation, attractors, generic systems, partial hyperbolicity and Lorenz attractors’.
Dr Singh also presented a research paper entitled ‘Mathematical Modeling of Co-Infection of HIV-TB diseases’ in the conference which highlighted the idea as to how can applied mathematics be helpful in curing diseases.
The conference was attended by over 120 delegates from all over the world including some renowned laureates in Physics and Field Prize winners in Mathematics. Dr Singh was the only representative from India to take part in the Conference.
