Raman House lifts football tourney title

JAMMU, Nov 20: Raman House thrashed Gandhi House by two goals to zero (2-0) and lifted the title trophy of Inter-House Football tournament organised by BSF School, here today.
Earlier, in the semis, Raman House beat Tagore House by 1-0 goal and Gandhi House defeated Nehru House by a solitary goal.
On the occasion, Principal of the school was the chief guest, who presented trophy to the winner and runner-up teams.
While speaking, principal highlighted the importance of sports in day to day life. He added that sports plays a pivotal role for the all round development of the body vis-à-vis mentally and physically.
He said that sports should be made a regular feature of the school curriculum.
He added that school has always believed in giving a platform to the students to show their abilities in games and sports equivalent to the academics.
