Ramdayal takes 5-for as J&K in sight of 1st innings lead

JAMMU, Nov 18: Bowling all-rounder Ramdayal Punia took a brilliant 5-wicket haul as Jammu and Kashmir were in sight of 1st innings lead against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy Group-B Match at Lahli in Haryana.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight total of 119/7, Haryana rode on skipper Amit Mishra’s 41 runs to score 184 runs off 65.4 overs in their first innings. Apart from Amit Mishra, Himanshu Rana (35), Harshal Patel (23) and Ajit Chahal (22) were the main contributors. For J&K, Ramdayal scalped 5 wickets, while Mohd Mudhasir bagged 4 wickets and Parvez Rasool claimed one.
In reply, J&K were 175/7, with Ramdayal (6) and Amir Aziz (0) at the crease when the stumps were drawn on day-2 today. Ahmed Bandey top scored with 67 runs, while Puneet Bisht and Parvez Rasool contributed 35 and 24 runs to the total respectively. Rasool was run out in the same fashion and with the same partner like in the match against Jharkhand earlier. For Haryana, Harshal Patel, Ashish Hooda and Ajit Chahal took 2 wickets each.
