Ramdayal wrecks havoc as Jumbo Gladiators thrash Tramboo Panthers

SRINAGAR, July 13: First-class cricketer Ramdayal Punia wrecked havoc by plotting collapse of Tramboo Panthers to help his team win by 7 wickets in the ongoing Big-GK Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL) at Bijbehara, today.
Earlier, batting first, Tramboo Panthers scored a modest total of 131 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Arshid Bhat was the top scorer with 43 runs off 33 balls, while Basharat contributed 42 runs off 52 balls. For Jumbo Gladiators, Ramdayal was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 4 important wickets by conceding 19 runs in his 4 overs, while left-arm spinners Kuldeep Kumar and Raman Dutta claimed one wicket each by giving away 27 and 29 runs in their 4 overs respectively.
Tramboo Panthers, in reply, made 132 runs in 17.1 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Aditya Partap Singh was the top scorer with unbeaten 44 runs off 30 balls, while Imtiyaz Malik contributed 41 runs in 30 balls. Parveen Singh and Puneet Kumar chipped in with quick-fire 25 and 15 runs respectively. For Tramboo Panthers, Syed Sagar, Nasir and Saleem claimed one wicket apiece. Ramdayal was adjudged HDFC man of the match, while Basharat was awarded for hitting maximum sixes.
Meanwhile, in another match at Kashmir University Grounds, Ahad Sultans rode on a brilliant knock of power-packed 76 runs by Mohsin Mufti, studded with 4 fours and 8 sixes, chased a mammoth target of 189 runs set by Sachdeva Leopards.
Needing 26 runs in the last over, Mufti butchered Asif Khan and hit a massive six on his last delivery to help his team register a thrilling win. This outstanding performance fetched Mufti man of the match and maximum sixes award.
