Rana lauds girls for making big mark in academics

DANSAL-NAGROTA, Jan 25: Emphasizing the crucial need of promoting female literacy in a state like Jammu and Kashmir, Provincial President National Conference Mr Devender Singh Rana on Monday said that educating a girl is to educate a family, a society and a nation.
“Girls education can leave a positive impact on society”, Mr Rana said while addressing Annual Day function of Holy Trinity Convent High School at Dansal in Nagrota Assembly Constituency
The Provincial President lauded the commitment and devotion of girls towards academics and said that it is heartening to see them over shining boys in every discipline and stream. “We feel really elated on hearing girls making big mark in various competitive exams and professional courses”, he said and hoped this odyssey will go on with full steam.
He also appreciated the students for their performance in various activities related to the annual day function, especially the cultural programme and urged them to pay equal attention to sports and allied activities which are part of overall educational scenario. He complimented those who have brought laurels to the school in different spheres.
The school management presented annual report while the students presented a variety programme to mark the annual day function.
Principal of the School, Rev Fr. Biju Mathew and Vice Principal Rev Fr. Annjo N. S were also present on the occasion.
Besides parents and teachers, Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan, senior leader Bashir Wani, Sarpanch Mohammed Sadiq, Sarpanch Angrez Singh and Chairman Bishan were prominent among those present at the Annual Day function.
