May 11 should be an eye opener for people who are directly or indirectly connected with it. Ranbir canal is a life line of Jammu and it should be taken care of by both the Government and the people.
The agency involved for its maintenance should launch an awareness campaign among people to educate them about ill effects of polluting it.
If any body is found dumping household wastage or industrial wastage into it, he should be taken to task by imposing fine on him. There is a necessity that people should cooperate with the authorities to keep the canal clean and let it achieve its, pristine glory and charm.
