JAMMU, Sept 25: MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa today dedicated newly constructed lane and drain to public here at Ajit Nagar in the presence of Councillor, Dr. Yudhvir Singh.
Addressing the locals the MLC said that construction of lane and drain was a long pending demand of the people of Ajit Nagar who approached him for redressal and acting swiftly an amount of Rs 3.5 lakh out of CDF was released.
Randhawa expressed happiness that the lane and drain now stands completed and the people will not suffer anymore.
He urged upon the people to maintain the lane and drain properly for its longevity and it is now their property. The MLC urged upon the locals to shun the use of plastic as it is destroying the environment rapidly and adds a lot to the non-biodegradable garbage.
He assured the people to fulfil all their pending demands in a phased manner.
Those who accompanied the MLC included Capt. Kehar Singh (Retd), Paras Ram, Inderjeet Kour, J.S Gill, Charanjeet Singh, Pitambar Lal, Inder Sharma, Vijay Sharma, B.R Sharma and others.
