SRINAGAR, Jan 9: The Range level Volleyball tournament, organized by J&K Police as part of the Civic Action Programme at District Police Lines Anantnag, concluded today. The tournament, featuring 16 teams from South Kashmir Range, commenced on January 4.
The final match, contested between Spartan Volleyball Club Anantnag and Pulwama-B, saw Spartan Anantnag emerge victorious with a 2-0 score. During the closing ceremony, cash prizes, trophies, and mementos were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams, the man of the final match, the man of the series, and match officials.
Participating teams commended the J&K Police for organizing such events, expressing a desire for more such events in the future. The primary objective of organizing the tournament, as stated by the police, was to promote and enhance the sporting culture among the youth while instilling a sense of discipline and sportsmanship.
