JAMMU, Oct 26: Under Civic Action programme, Range level singing talent hunt competition “Choona Hai Aasman 2019”, was organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground, in which 31 selected contestants from Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts showed their skill of solo singing competition.
Among these contestants, Ayoush Singh, Ridima Bajpai of Jammu and Love Preet of Kathua were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively in the age group of 5 yrs to 12 yrs Category. Amir Khan and Sahil of Kathua and Arpana Kumari of Jammu were adjudged as 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively in the age group of 13 yrs to 18 yrs while Pankaj Kumar of Kathua, Lalit and Shubam Banerjee of Jammu were adjudged as 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively in the age group of 19 yrs to 25 yrs. They were presented cash reward and mementos while all the contestants were given participation certificates.
Prof Kalpana Kesar, Prof Anupama Sharma and Harish Kaila were the jury members. Mukesh Singh, IGP Jammu Zone, was the chief guest of the event. Besides, prominent persons and high dignitaries from different departments, civil society and students of different schools witnessed the function.
Danish Rana, IGP Armed/IR Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, SSP Jammu and Shakti Pathak, SSP Samba among other police officers also witnessed the programme. Shreya Gandral, winner of 2015 Chhoona Hain Aasman was special guest and she presented a special item. The whole programme was anchored by Shwetima from Mirchi 98.3FM, Rakesh Sambyal from PTTI Vijaypur and Isha Mahajan from Jammu.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Pawan Parihar, Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range. The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Vivek Gupta, Dy Inspector General of Police Jammu, Samba, Kathua Range Hqrs, who presented the welcome address and apprised the gathering about purpose of the event. Pawan Parihar, JKPS Staff Officer to DIG Jammu, presented the vote of thanks.
