Rashid appointed as Indian fencing team coach for World Cup

JAMMU, Mar 27: Inspector Rashid Ahmed Choudhary of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been selected as the Coach for the Indian Fencing Team for the Senior Fencing (Sabre) World Cup, which commenced in Budapest, Hungary from today and will conclude on March 30.
A former international fencing player, Rashid has represented India and earned numerous accolades. He is also the first Indian to hold an FIE B License as a Sabre Referee and a recipient of the Sher-e-Kashmir Sports Award and DGP Medal. Vijay Kumar, President of the J&K Fencing Association, congratulated Rashid, calling it a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir. This achievement marks a significant milestone for both him and Indian fencing.
