JAMMU, Oct 10: Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, Sub Inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, has been nominated Referee for Asian Youth Fencing Championship and Asia Oceana Countries C Licence Examination scheduled to be held at Pasig City Manila Philippines from October 13 to 21, 2018.
Rashid is the only referee from India, who has attained “B” Licence in Sabre Fencing in the examination conducted by World Fencing Federation and Asian Fencing Confederation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rashid has the distinction of receiving State Award, Sher-e-Kashmir Award and Director General of Police Medal for his outstanding achievements in the field of Sports.
He is also the member of Talent Scouting Committee of Khelo India (Fencing) nominated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India.
