JAMMU, July 20: Former ace fencer and Sub-Inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary has been nominated as the Referee for Junior and Cadet Commonwealth Fencing Championship to be held at Newcastle England from July 22 to July 31, 2018.
He is the only World Fencing Federation and Asian Fencing Confederation B-Grade Qualified Referee of the State.
For his achievements and contribution in the field of sports, Mr Rashid has been conferred with State Award, Sher-e-Kashmir Award and Director General of Police Medal.
Mr Rashid extended thanks to top brass cops of the State for their help, while patron of J&K Amateur Fencing Association, Vijay Sharma lauded the efforts of former fencer for this achievement.
