REASI, Aug 26: An educational-cum-motivational tour for 20 students was flagged off from Mahore.
The tour organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters based at Reasi, includes 20 students from Balmatkote, Gulabgarh, Mahore, Bagga and Jhangar villages.
The tour will cover various educational and cultural institutions at Udhampur, Srinagar, Leh, Kargil and Drass and have an exposure to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the State.
The tour will visit educational institutions of Jammu and Kashmir like College of Science and Commerce, Government Medical College, Industrial Training Institute, Srinagar, Army Public School Leh, Amar Singh College, Institute of Hotel Management, Government College of Education Kashmir, Government Polytechnic, Kashmir Law College and Shantiniketan College of Education.
Students will also visit various historical spots and places of interest like Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, Chashm-E-Shahi, Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander, Rashtriya Rifles Sector said that the tour will enable the young impressionable minds to broaden their horizon and act as a stepping stone for the students of this remote region to connect themselves with the rest of the Jammu and Kashmir.
