JAMMU, July 29: As part of the ongoing process of winning hearts and minds of the local population, Rashtriya Rifles Bhaderwah organized a two days ‘Dangal-cum-Kushti’ in collaboration with Youth Action Committee (NGO), Bhadarwah, which got underway at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
The organizers believed that organizing ‘Dangal-cum-Kushti’ competition for youths of Bhaderwah will help to win the goodwill of the locals and promote sports and youth empowerment in the region.
A total of 62 wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the tournament.
The competitions are being played as per existing rules on knockout basis.  A huge gathering of spectators witnessed the event on day-1 today.
The Dangal was inaugurated by Commander from Army in the presence of CO Rashtriya Rifles, Naseer Mehboob Padder, President Youth Action Committee, Civil Administration, Teachers, Students, Ex-Servicemen and a number of local villagers.
