JAMMU, Oct 13: Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE) was officially launched today at KC Sports Club by Parvez Rasool, Indian Cricket team player.
The formal ceremony was held inside the magnificent 60,000 sq feet indoor sports complex which houses a 15,000 sq feet cricket hall, a gym and a swimming pool among other facilities.
In attendance were the eagerest and enthusiastic youngsters of Jammu endeavouring to excel in cricket. Rasool played with them and demonstrated a few techniques of the game. The young learners were highly enthused by his presence and felt proud to be in his company.
Speaking formally to the gathering at the opening ceremony, Rasool expressed his joy and satisfaction in appreciation of the effort made by KC Sports Club in creating a unique state of the art indoor sporting facility in Jammu and thereby creating a solid platform for excellence in sports in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He advised the young listeners to make best use of the opportunity and try their best to pursue and achieve their own dreams of excellence and success in the games of their choice. He was candid in his appraisal of the indoor cricketing facility at KC Sports Club to be at par with the best in the world.
He said YSCE Jammu will surely help lot to the budding cricketers from J&K to take their cricket to next level. I think a place like Jammu which has immense potential needs a facility to unearth more talent.
In the endeavour to provide excellence and world class coaching, Rodney Jones (England and Wales Cricket Board approved Coach ) will be visiting the facility from October 25, 2014 for two weeks.
