JAMMU, July 6: The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was taken out with religious fervor in Jammu.
The Rath Yatra started from MAM Stadium and after passing through various parts of the city and its outskirts like, Vinayak Bazaar, Asia Hotel, Hospital, Road, Nai Basti, Shastri Nagar, it culminated at Shiv Mandir, Jewel.
The chantings of ‘haribol’ and clanging of cymbals rented the air as thousands of devotees including men, women and children participated in the Yatra. The Rath Yatra started with magnanimous welcome of Lordships Shree Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra Devi placed on the chariot decorated with flowers. The Yatra was organized by Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra Sanstha, Jammu.
The devotees, enroute danced and recited Bhajans in praise of Lord Jagannath. Sweets, water and fruits were also served to the devotees who had participated in the Yatra.
The entire route of the Yatra was converted into a sea of humanity and there was mad rush among the lakhs of devotees to take a glimpse of the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra  and Devi Subhadra.
