SRINAGAR, June 28: Chief spokesperson of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and MLC, Ravinder Sharma met Khursheed Ahmed Ganai, Chairman of the Committee on Administrative Units and Financial Commissioner Industries & Commerce, here today and raised the demands of considering left out areas of Sunderbani and Nowshera for new units of Tehsil and CD Blocks etc.
Sharma apprised them of the demand of Devak area of Sunderbani which is far flung and under-developed without proper connectivity and other facilities of life. Alleging that adjoining Panchayats of Hathal, Nala-Makole, Bimliya and Thagriot are lagging behind in development, he sought Tehsil and Block status and Niabats for this belt.
The Congress MLC also pleaded for Tehsil status to Lamberi and Bhawani area of Sub-District Nowshera, in view of the topography, distance and population of these areas and urged for fair consideration of the genuine demands of these areas.
Maintaining that people of the area have also represented before the concerned authorities as per prescribed procedure Sharma further pleaded for proper consultation of the public for setting up of new units in the area.
