JAMMU, Apr 3: Internati-onally acclaimed Cultural Critic Ravinder Kaul and this year’s Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winning theatre director Mushtaq Kak will attend Global Culture Summit at Abu Dhabi from April 9 to April 13, 2017.
The event is being hosted by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and presented in conjunction with publishers of Foreign Policy Magazine The FP Group, Washington and TCP Ventures, New York.
The Culture Summit is a high-level international meet that will bring together leaders from the Government, the arts, and the media to address the role culture can play in addressing some of the great challenges of our time.
A member of International Association of Theatre Critics, Ravinder Kaul has participated in over a dozen Sessions of United Nations Commission and Sub Commission for Human Rights at Geneva and spoken strongly about preservation of cultural rights of the people across the globe.
Mushtaq Kak, the recipient of this year’s Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the country’s highest award in the field of performing arts, has directed more than 100 plays. He is the Director of renowned Amateur Theatre Group. He has been Artistic Director of Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, one of the most prestigious theatre institutions and repertories of the country, for nine years.
Mushtaq Kak has acted in feature films ‘Hijack’, ‘Sikandar’, ‘Shahid’, ‘Amal’, ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Mausam’, ‘Vishwaroopam-I’, ‘Vishwaroopam-II’, ‘Dhish-oom’, ‘M.S.Dhoni’ and ‘Geetiyan’ and has produced and directed tele-serials and tele-films for DD National, DD Kashir and DD Urdu.
