JAMMU, Feb 13: Ravinder Pandita, Head & Founder of Save Sharda Committee bagged the prestigious Kashmir Educational Culture Science Society (KECSS) award for Heritage in an annual function in New Delhi. His services were recognised for the Sharda Mission, for which he is struggling on various fronts including preservation of Sharda, its reopening, heritage preservation and construction of heritage Sharda Yatra Temple at Teetwal in North Kashmir.
Other notable awardees for 2023 are Ajaz Khan from Teetwal Kashmir for social service category and Joginder Singh of Tribhoni Village in Tangdhar for social work category.
Mayor South Delhi, Shikha Rai was the chief guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Pandita said that it is heartening that awareness of Sharda Peeth is getting its due recognition, though so late.
