RBI hands over 8 waste containers to JMC

JAMMU, July 8: Promoting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Jammu   D Sethi along with his staff members handed over eight waste containers to Jammu Municipal Corporation in the presence of  Sounjanya Sharma, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Chief Transport Officer, JMC, today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner, JMC stated that it will send a good message to the general public for keeping Jammu City clean and green.  He also thanked the Regional Director, RBI, Jammu for handing over the containers to JMC and stated that the same shall be placed at different locations of Jammu City including Raghunath Mandir area, Airport, Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar etc.
Speaking on the occasion  D Sethi, Regional Director, RBI, Jammu said that their organization is also interested to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a success as it is a way to keep our City of Temples clean and green so that common masses can be aware about maintaining their surroundings clean.  He further stated that their organization will also join hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation for making a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a landmark success.
The Commissioner, JMC further appealed the general public not to throw the waste at open places the same should be put in the waste containers and also appealed not to throw construction material in Nallahs as this is a main cause of choking of Nallahs.
