JAMMU, Dec 2: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) and JKAP XI outplayed their respective opponents and advanced to semifinals of the ongoing J&K Police Friendship Cup being organised jointly by J&K Police, Young Star Cricket Club and Simula Software at MA Stadium here.
Earlier, in the first quarterfinal match, Rainawari Cricket Club outclassed Vishal Cricket Club by 4 wickets.
Electing to bat first, Vishal Cricket Club made 111 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Nipun was the top scorer with 25 runs, while Ravi and Aditya also contributed 16 and 14 runs respectively.
For Rainawari Cricket Club side, Kuldeep and Rohit scalped 2 wickets each, while, Satish pocketed one wicket.
In reply, Rainawari Cricket Club chased the target in 18.1 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Satish made 24 runs, while, Shabaj and Raman also chipped in 24 and 15 runs respectively.
For Vishal Cricket Club side, Akash was the pick of the bowler with 2 wickets, while, Rakesh and Prashant also scalped one wicket apiece.
Satish was declared as man of the match.
In second quarterfinal match, JKAP XI registered 10 wickets victory over Secretariat XI in one sided affair.
Batting first, Secretariat XI made a paltry of 37 runs for all out in 12.1 overs. Mushtaq was the top scorer with 16 runs.
For JKAP XI side, Balwan was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 wickets, while Yasir and Jatinder took 2 wickets each.
In second inning, JKAP XI chased the target in just 2.3 overs without losing any wicket. Yasir and Rompy chipped in 18 and 16 runs respectively.
Yasir was adjudged as man of the match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep and Sanjay as umpires, while Yogesh Sharma maintained the scoreboard.
