KARGIL, May 31: The Baku & Jimmy Memorial Futsal Cup came to an exciting conclusion at the Shargole Indoor Stadium, Kargil, with Real Lona FC emerging as the champions.
The tournament which honours the memories of the late Tsering Dorjay Baku and late Jigmet Namgyal, saw intense competition and outstanding sportsmanship throughout.
In the final match dignitaries were Moses Kunzang, Director of Youth Services and Sports; Abid Ali, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kargil; along with various other Government officials. Also in attendance were Tsewang Dorjay, Vice President of Ladakh Football Association and Tsering Angmo, General Secretary of Ladakh Football Association, whose presence added to the event’s significance.
Real Lona FC secured a hard-fought victory against Skalzangling FC, clinching the title with a final score of 8-7. This thrilling match showcased the exceptional talent and determination of both teams, but it was Real Lona FC who ultimately prevailed.
With this victory, Real Lona FC has qualified for the AIFF Club Futsal Championship Nationals, a remarkable achievement reflecting their hard work, dedication, and teamwork. The entire team and its members deserve heartfelt congratulations for this outstanding accomplishment.
