Reasi District Chess championshiop concludes

JAMMU, Oct 27: Reasi District Chess Association, under the auspices of All J&K Chess Association organized Reasi District Chess Championship at Govt Higher Secondary School, Katra today.
On this occasion, SDM Katra, Anil Kumar Chandail was the chief guest, while SP Katra, Sumir Kotwal was guest of honour. Principal Higher Secondary School Katra was also present on the occasion.
Fifty players from Reasi district participated in this Championship to vie for the top honours.
Vicky Wazir of Katra won the first prize in senior category, while in junior category, Pranav Kohli won first prize, Lucky Rajput got second place and Shiva Proach claimed third position.
In girls category, Lavanya Rajput won first prize.
The Championship was officiated by Rajinder Singh, president Reasi District Chess Association, Vishal Kapoor, secretary.
Sumit Grover and Arvindu Sharma were arbiters.
This was the first ever chess event held in district Reasi. President All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta has lauded the efforts of Reasi District Chess Association for holding such a big event in the district.
