Reasi Police organizes wrestling competition

JAMMU, Mar 5: With an endeavour  for a better co-ordination between Public and Police, District Police Reasi under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, organised a wrestling competition at Reasi, today.
40 wrestlers of the area participated in the Competition.
District SP Reasi, Vivek Gupta was the chief guest of the event.
A total of 25 bouts in different categories were played between the wrestlers.
In the final bout, Balwan Singh of JKP and Liaqat Ali had a tough fight in which Balwan Singh of JKP emerged as the winner.
The winner of the final bout was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2000 and the runner-up, a cash prize of Rs1500.
The people of Reasi appreciated the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police, especially of the District SP Reasi, Vivek Gupta, for organising the traditional Dangal which will go a long way in preserving this traditional game and spirit of sports.
Mushtaq Choudhary, DySP Hqrs, Reasi; Arshad Khan, District Treasury Officer Reasi; Rakesh Gupta, DySP Telecom Reasi and Ishtyaq Ahmed Kacho, DySP, besides a large number of people were also present on the occasion.
