Apropos to news item in ‘Daily Excelsior’ on April 10,2014, it is a mockery of governance that no recruitment rules have been framed for some of the departments in spite of decades. For instance, Government College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1994 but no recruitment rules have so far been framed for faculty. Although concerned Secretary, Chief Secretary concerned Ministers and even Chief Minister have been approached a number of times, the file is tossing between ARI, Higher Education Deptt. & Law Deptt. for the past 20 years.
Will the Chief Minister direct concerned departments to frame the recruitment rules for the teaching faculty who have been stagnating at the same posts at which they were appointed decades back and are being deprived of their promotions?
