Redress plights of displaced people: ASKPC to Govt

JAMMU, May 18: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) said that displaced people are facing difficulties in finding out their names in the voter lists available at various relief centres in Jammu and urged the Government to redress their problems at the earliest.
This was stated by president, ASKPC during a meeting with a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits.
During the meeting, it was pointed out that various places of Kashmir are neglected in the lists and names of the voters, who were included in the voter lists of 1988 and 2008 are also not included in it.
President, ASKPC said that the due to non-availability of the voter lists, displaced persons are facing lots of problems and are also not finding out their names in the lists.
He also appealed the displaced people, who were not included in the voter list to submit their forms to the concerned authorities after completing all the formalities.
He also urged the Government to make complete voter list of all constituencies of Kashmir available in all selected offices of Jammu and outside the Jammu.
