JAMMU, Sept 24: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has demanded that term of the J&K Assembly be reduced from six to five years.
State president of the party Tulsi Dass Langeh while addressing a workers’ meeting at Vijaypur in district Samba today demanded that extended term of the J&K Assembly be reduced to five years as done in other states. He said during Morarji Desai Government, the period was reduced and most of the states implemented but in J&K it is still six years. He demanded that decision on this issue be taken up at the earliest in the larger interest of the public.
