NEW DELHI, Dec 17: Refined soya oil prices rose 0.75 per cent to Rs 695.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions, driven by upsurge in demand in the spot market supported by marriage season.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January gained Rs 5.15, or 0.75 per cent to Rs 695.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,03,010 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 2.05, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 698.70 per kg in 14,000 lots.
Analysts said speculators indulged in creating fresh positions, driven by upsurge in demand in the spot market due to marriage season mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
