Refugees appeal Centre to approve package at earliest

JAMMU, Oct 20: J&K Refugees Sadar Sabha (JKRSS) has urged the Union Government to give its approval to the refugees package, the proposal for which has been recently submitted by State Government.
Talking to reporters here today, Pawan Sharma chairman of the Sabha expressed the hope that Union Government will take necessary steps in approving the package for the PoJK refugees who have suffered a lot during last over six decades.
He said with the submission of package to Centre by State Government after getting the same cleared in its recent Cabinet meeting a new hope has generated among the refugees who have constantly struggled  for the same for last over six decades.
He said the three generations of refugees have perished in the hope that day will come when they will get the justice.
Sharma said that the successive Governments ditched the refugees over these years and ignored their genuine demand always. However after the issue taken by BJP leader in Parliament number of times it got a momentum again and the State Government also came under constant pressure.
Sharma lauded the role of BJP MP and Incharge J&K Avinash Rai Khanna and Party national general secretary J P Nadda for their positive approach towards the refugees issue. Expressing solidarity with West Pak refugees he demanded citizenship rights for them and announced that the Sabha will also join their struggle.
He said that Sabha will continue its struggle till the package is implemented in letter and spirit and announced that it will also organize programme to pay homage to lakhs of the fellow refugees who lost their lives due to the attack of Pak raiders.
He said the Refugees will constitute a joint Front which will take decision on future course of action and contesting the 24 Assembly seats in the coming Assembly elections in the State.
