SRINAGAR, July 6: Regal Sports got better of Syed Tajuddin Football Club by two goals to one (2-1) in the ‘A’ Division match, while Rahim Green Solina FC held Maharaja Sports to a (1-1) draw in the Super Division match of the J&K State Power Development Corporation Annual League Football Tournament, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), DFA Srinagar at Polo Ground, here.
Earlier, in ‘A’ Division match, Syed Tajuddin FC scored the first goal in the 13th minute of the match through Feroz, while Aijaz of Regal Sports scored an equalizer in the 14th minute. Then Zamir Ahmad doubled the lead for Regal Sports through a splendid goal in 21st minute, which the team maintained till the final whistle and finally won the match by a margin of one goal.
In Super Division match, Adid Ahmad from Maharaja Sports scored a superb goal in 14th minute and his team maintained the lead till the end of the first half. However, Mozam Rashid scored an equalizer from Rahim Green Solina in the 68th minute to help his team hold the rivals to (1-1) draw.
