Regulating prices

Sir,
Perhaps ours is the only state where effective price mechanism does not appear to be in place. The prices of vegetables and fruit especially have been showing very steep increase in their prices which to a larger extent appear to be man created. There are on the other side no fair price shops or co-operative stores where people could get vegetables and fruit at competitive prices.
This Government perhaps has certified that there exist no undue profiteers or hoarders in these daily required items of consumption. The same is the case about milk. Very rarely a case or two are shown having been fined or case of adulteration filed. This approach of the Government seems exactly the same as UPA2 before elections as it had virtually stopped functioning.  Shall the Government act now?
Yours etc….
