JAMMU, Jan 10: Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell has demanded release of salaries of package employees immediately.
In a joint statement issued here, today, the chief of PCC Migrant Cell H L Pandita and its convener Ghulam Qadir Bhat said that the PM package employees are without salaries for last three months with the result they are facing many hardships.
They demanded that when the salaries of other employees are drawn on the end of every month why the salaries of PM package employees are delayed for months together.
They said the PM package employees working in different parts of the Valley are confronted with many problems as the Government has failed to provide proper accommodation to them. They said employees have been put in shared accommodation which has already added to their woes. Besides, some employees have been posted in remote and far off areas while the couples working in separate districts have not been posted in one district as was earlier assured by Government.
Both Mr Pandita and Bhat have made an appeal to Governor H N Vohra to look into the problems of PM package employees and settle them at an earliest.
