Remain vigilant to keep Railway Stations, tracks safe: IGP to Officers

JAMMU, Dec 18: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Railways Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria today reviewed the security arrangements at Railway Stations.
IGP held a security review meeting in which Nisar Ahmed, DIG Railways Security, RN Meena, DTM N/R JAT, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SP Railways, PV Singh, SDPO Railways, Station Superintendent Railways and representatives of non civilian authorities and Central security forces participated.
IGP asked all the representatives of the security agencies to remain vigilant to keep the Railway Stations and the tracks safe from any kind of security hazards.
He also asked them to maintain better coordination with each other in order to ensure fool proof security of Railway Stations, tracks as well as other vital installations.
All the participants were directed to brief ground staff under their commands and control to remain careful and extra vigilant during duty hours particularly during odd and peak hours so that anti national and anti social elements may not succeed to sneak into the vicinity of any Railway Stations and indulge in any subversive act especially at Railway Station Jammu.
Earlier, IGP held a meeting with officers and jawans of GRP. IGP instructed the jawans to strictly adhere to the security related instructions and directions passed to them and not to allow any kind of security lapse at any cost.
He also asked them to maintain discipline and cordial relations with the general public.
