JAMMU, Jan 28: Republic Day celebrated with patriotic fervour and zeal.
Republic Day was celebrated enthusiastically in the Government Sri Ranbir Higher Secondary School. The National Tricolor was unfurled by Principal JS Manhas, in presence of staff members and students.
65th Republic Day was celebrated at NITL Higher Secondary School. Principal Ajay Gupta unfurled the National Flag in presence of staff members and students.
65th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Government High School, Kundra, district Reasi. Headmaster Ved Prakash hoisted the National Flag in presence of Bodh Raj, Sarpanch Halqa Panchayat Bhabber Brahmana, staff members and students. Cultural items were presented by the students from various schools including Government Middle School, Dera Baba Banda Bahadur, Government Middle School, Bhabber, Narayan Shishu Kala Academy, Kundra, Government Primary School, Shaprian and Government Primary School, Kangarian. The students who participated in cultural items which promote Dogri language were felicitated by Dogri Sanstha, Jammu through Abdul Qadir Kundria, Dogri writer and poet.
Republic Day was celebrated in Government High School, Sagoon. Numberdar of the village Dittu Ram hoisted the National Flag, in presence of Sarpanchs, Panchs, staff members and students. Children presented cultural items.
Government High School, Dhammi, zone Dhansal celebrated Republic Day. Sarpanch, Panchayat Halqa Jagti Asha Ram unfurled the National Flag, in presence of Bhupinder Kumar Shastri, Headmaster, staff members and students. Cultural programme was presented by the students.
Republic Day was celebrated in Dream Land Public High School today. Principal Sudeshwar Sadotra unfurled the National Flag in presence of staff members and students.
Government Middle School, Chack Drab Khan, Kathua celebrated Republic Day. Sushma Avtar, Headmaster along with staff members and students participated in the celebrations. Students presented cultural items. Prizes were distributed among the students, who excelled in various co-curricular activities.

J&K Cultural Development Forum organised flag hoisting ceremony at Trikuta Nagar on the eve of Republic Day. Retd Brigadier Sucheat Singh was chief guest and Dr Jitendra was guest of honour. Aseem Gupta, State publicity secretary of the forum presided over the function. A cultural programme was presented by Sanskar Bharti where Ajay and Amrik Singh played a role against the corruption and unemployment. Ashok Khajuria and Rajesh Gupta were chairman and co-chairman of the function respectively.
Arya Pratinidhi Sabha organized a function at Arya Samaj Rehari to celebrate 65th Republic Day which was attended to by representatives from other Arya Samajs. Bharat Bhushan Arya presented the welcome address. Acharya Vidya Bhanu Shastri ji presided over the function and Prof Vijay Prakash Gupta, president Arya Samaj Rehari hoisted National Flag followed by National Anthem. Dev Datt Arya, Satay Vir Gupta, Prof Yoginder Gupta, Ravi Kant, Jagadish Gupta, Chand Arya and many other members attended the function.
All India Sleeper Bus Owner Union celebrated Republic Day at Bus Stand. On the occasion, provincial president NC and MLC Davender Singh Rana was the chief guest. Chairman of the union Sudershan Sharna, president Ravi Sharma, senior president Chanchal Singh, vice president Narinder Singh, general secretary Mangat Ram, joint secretary Sukhdev Singh, secretary Ashwani Balio and cashier Ravinder Singh were also present.
All J&K SC/ST Retired Employees Forum in collaboration with Dalit Sahitya Academy celebrated 65th Republic Day at Roop Nagar. SS Sarangal, president of the forum unfurled the National Flag in presence of JR Aryan, RK Kalsotra, Harbans Lal, Gian Chand Dogra, HR Phonsa and SD Digra. The participants paid tributes to Dr Baba Sahib Ambedkar. Children of Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Convent School, Bantalab sang patriotic songs.
