JAMMU, Mar 30: The Centre for Educational Research, MIER College of Education organized a Research Colloquium, here.
The resource person was Dr. Bharti Tandon, Assistant Prof MIER College of Education. She dwelt on her PhD thesis, the topic for which was “Exploration of a Special Educator’s Contributions to Co-teaching in Relation to Content and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK).”
The session was chaired by Dr. Arun K.Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions. Eminent personalities present on the occasion were Dr. Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Dr. N.R. Sharma, Dean Academics MIER, Dr. H.R. Shan, HoD Centre for Educational Research and the HoDs of different departments of the college. The colloquium was attended by all the faculty members of B.Ed and M.Ed. in addition tothe students of the M.Ed. deptt.
Dr. H.R Shan, HoD Centre for Educational Research MIER extended a warm welcome to the resource person and the audience.
Dr. Tandon completed her research work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA and has published many articles in professional journals. She shared her research work, objectives, sampling, tools and findings of the study in detail. For her research, Dr. Tandon did a case-study that focused on the contributions of the special education teacher; these contributions were considered in relationship to his content and pedagogical content knowledge.
Dr. Arun K. Gupta presented the presidential remarks and congratulated Dr. Tandon on conducting such an elaborate research work.
