Sir,
Refer to the news item ‘Restoration of peace not possible in PDP-BJP Govt: Azad’ DE Apr 25.
Only cynics can say that peace is not possible in the State during the incumbent PDP-BJP dispensation. Peace is possible in the State provided it is allowed to prevail in this strife torn State. It needs nothing but sincerity on part of all stake-holders, particularly mainstream political parties. It is misfortune of this State that every issue of socio-religio or political importance is politicised for petty political interests. Even former Chief Minister and National Conference working president Dr Farooq Abdullah has said that the sincerity required for Kashmir problem is missing. Once all State political parties and other stakeholders come forward with a consensus that Kashmir problem has to be resolved in the best interests of all the three regions of the State, a solution may emerge.
The State has witnessed many upheavals in the past also, and hope this time it may come out of the mess unscathed.
Yours etc….
