JAMMU, June 4: Result of Solo, Duet and Group Guitar Competition in Golden Guitar Festival Season-5 was declared, here today. Competition was held in 52 different age and experience wise categories and over 100 participants drawn from different parts of the State took part in the competition.
Puran Singh Wazir, Golden Guitar Awardee 2012 and retired Army Officer alongwith Goutam Kotwal guitarist and owner of Mythya Band were the adjudicators of the guitar competition.
Winners of solo, Duet and Group Competition:
Up to 10 years Solo Guitar Competition: The first prize was shared by Manea Mahajan, Sarrthi, Jodhamal Public School, Aftab, The Strings, Vidant Gupta, The Strings, Sahivanshu Tripathi, Sharda Sangeet Sadan, Aiman Mahajan, The Strings and Rehoon Goel, The Strings, while the second prize went to Saksham Verma, Yajur Mahajan, Apurva Ghai and Shivay Mahajan and the third prize was claimed by Aryan Sharma and Harjot Singh.
11 years to 14 years Solo Guitar Competition: The first prize was shared by Adharika, The Strings, Aishwarya Mitra, Jodhamal Public School, – Shardul Arora, Sharanaya Mahajan, Tejas Gupta, SSKM, Jai Karan Sethi, Gursimar Singh and Bipasha Gupta, Jodhamal Public School, while the second prize in this category went to Shashank Koul, Aniran Saraf, Raghav Dogra, Prashant Sharma, Ayush Mahajan, Shubhkarman Singh, Saarthak Malhotra, Ridham Chhatwal, Aditya Khajuria, Aditya Kumar, Umang Bhat and Kavya Kochhar. The third prize went to Sumeet Abhimanyu, Dhananjay Mahajan, Reavab Mital, Naman Chandhoke, Arnav Puri, Akshit Gupta, Ghuman and Meha Gupta.
15 years to 18 years Solo Guitar Competition: The first prize went to Ankita Mathavan, The Strings, Lakshit Deep Singh, Divine Soul Music Institute, Adit Qazi, Symphony Guitar Institute, Parav Gupta, Heritage Strings, Aasarvi Cannie, Strings, Akhil Sharma and Sudhanshu Gupta, while the second prize was bagged by Abhishek Magotra, Dhruv Pant, Paras Arora, Arush Gupta and Ukshaya Sharma. The third prize went to Vikrant Bovoria.
19 years to 22 years: The prize was claimed by Shammi, Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya, Dhananjay Sharma, Music Culture, Vidushi Gupta, SSKM, Akhil Sharma, SSKM, Surya Ganjoo, Divine Soul Music Institute, Nikhil Menia and Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalya, while the second prize went to Richa and Moomin Zargar and the third prize to Neeraj Malhotra.
23 years and above: The first prize was bagged by Sanchit Gupta, SSKM, Harpriya Bains, Heritage Strings, Nipun Kohli, Heritage Strings, Dasmeer Bagh, Vikas Bawa Institute and Amit Bhawra, Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidyalaya.
Duet Guitar Competition: The first prize was shared by Vibha Katyal, Ayush Mahajan, Amey Malhotra, Kritney, Nandini Katyal, Pratham Maini, Vanshika Pandoh, Vedanti Dubey, Aniket Hashiya, Ripanshu and Siddhant, Danish and Samarthya, Rounak Bhat and Ragini Gupta, Akhil Sharma and Ukshay, Sanchit Salathia and Sankarshan Kakkar, Varun Preet Singh and Kritika Gandotra, while the second prize was won by Anmol Maini and Arnav Sharma, Hardik and Neeraj, Raghav, Amay and Arshit.
Group Guitar Competition: Stempede, Jodhamal Public School claimed claimed the first prize.
