JAMMU, Oct 2: All J&K SRTC Retired Employees Association today suggested the Government not to enhance the retirement age of State Government employees, alleging that it may increase the potential graph of unemployed youth of the State.
Chairing a meeting of SRTC retired employees, here today, their president, Dev Raj Bali, said that if the retirement age was increased by two years, it would create a strong ditch in front of the unemployed educated youths to get unemployment.
Keeping in view the increasing number of unemployed youth in the State, which has crossed nearly six lakh, the Government should not increase the age of retirement.
Those who attended the meeting were Balwinder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Tarlok Singh, Surjit Singh, BV Sharma, DN Sharma, Asan Elahi, Sain Mohd, Gulshan Singh, Jasbir Singh and Mohd Sharief.
