JAMMU, Nov 19: Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir today directed the revenue authorities to ensure implementation of the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) in letter and spirit. He said people should get all the services in the department within the prescribed time-frame.
The Minister said that the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to start Single Window System in each Tehsil for providing services to the people in an expeditious manner and also furnish quarterly progress report in respect of services provided including revenue extract, PRCs, Income Certificates and other Category Certificates.
He said revenue authorities have also been asked to notify the public hearing dates at the district and tehsil levels and hold public grievances redressal camp every month.
Javaid also issued directions to all the Deputy Commissioners to fix targets for the concerned revenue officers and submit monthly progress report in this regard
The Tehsildars have been directed to ensure that Patwaris sit at a particular place in respective Patwar Halqas for at least two notified days in a week and also to monitor the attendance and availability of revenue officers/ officials particularly Patwaris in the field.
The Minister has stressed that the provisions of Right to Information Act and Public Services Guarantee Act should be strictly adhered to and service delivery mechanism streamlined and made more effective.
