JAMMU, Apr 14: Several political and social organizations as well as leaders paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 129th Birth Anniversary today.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated birth anniversary of the tall leader across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir in a simple manner amid Corona lockdown. J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, party general secretary (orgnization) and other senior party leaders paid floral tributes to Baba Sahib at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Ravinder Raina, while paying floral tributes to Baba Sahib, said that he devoted himself towards the cause of freedom of India from British and at the same time he fought bravely for inducing “Samrasta” in the society. He said that Baba Sahib will remain as a source of inspiration to all of us for centuries and India can never forget his great contributions.
Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president paid glorious tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar, saying that Baba Sahib used his education to spearhead the cause of equality, fraternity and liberty and everybody should follow his example. Sethi was speaking during a programme held at Qasim Nagar to observe 129th birth anniversary Dr Ambedkar. He was accompanied by BJP Jammu East Mandal president Parveen Kerni and others.
Paying rich tributes to Dr Ambdekar on his birthday, former Union Minister Prof Chaman Lal Gupta observed that Dr Ambdekar was opposed to Article 370 to grant a separate status to J&K as Prime Minister Nehru wanted to appease his friend Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah in Kashmir because of certain pulls and pressures.
Congress celebrated birthday of the Father of Indian Constitution in a simple function held at PCC Headquarter Jammu where floral tributes were paid to Dr Ambedkar under the chairmanship of former Minister and Incharge district president Jammu Urban Yogesh Sawhney. PCC president G A Mir and other senior leaders paid floral tributes to the architect of the constitution at their respective residences.
National Conference Provincial President Jammu Mr Devender Singh Rana today paid glowing tributes to the architect of Constitution of India Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, on his birth anniversary, saying the great legal luminary has left an indelible mark by his remarkable service to the nation and ameliorating the lot of down trodden and weaker segments of the society.
Former Minister and senior leader of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) Manjit Singh along with party workers paid tributes to Dr Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. Manjit Singh used the occasion to appeal the J&K Government to accept the long pending demands of the OBC community and give them their due share in reservation as promised in the Indian Constitution of the Country.
As a tribute to Baba Saheb, OBC Morcha organized a program under the leadership of Braham Jyot Satti, president (JK-UT BJP OBC Morcha), in which a ration of 20 families and more 100 safety masks were handed over to RSS Adhikaris for distribution among needy families. T N Bhat, president, BJP Kashmir Displaced District also paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar. Tributes were also paid to Baba Sahib by Arnas (Reasi) unit of BJP.

The Birth Anniversary of the Framer of the Constitution was commemorated by OBC Department PCC J&K under the leadership of chairman of the wing Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra who paid floral tributes to Dalit Icon.
A programme to pay floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar was also organized at Ward number 30 Talab Tillo, Jammu by BJP additional publicity secretary Ayodhya Gupta, along with media secretary Dr Pardeep Mahotra and others.

All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations celebrated the 129th Birth Anniversary of Dr Ambedkar at its head office. On the occasion, the Confederation distributed food and ration among the poor and needy. Similar functions were also held at Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Badgam, Shopian, Kupwara and at many places by the Confederation units
While paying tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, officials and volunteers of Covid-19 control room of Additional District Bhadarwah pledged to fight Coronavirus jointly as a harmonious nation. The simple pledge ceremony was held at Covid-19 control room at Dak Banglow Bhaderwah in which ADC Bhadarwah Rakesh Kumar, Tehsildar Zeeshan Tahir and Nodal officer control room Rana Aarif, volunteers and other officer participated.
Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated by all executive members of Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLARC) New Plots, Jammu in their respective closed houses with family members. Each family garlanded the portrait of Dr Ambedkar. Such activity was done in the house of Principal Ram Lal (chairman), Ramesh Angotra (convener), Balwant Kataria (vice chairman) and others.
To commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, the Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) organised a one day Webinar on the theme, “India of Ambedkar’s Dreams” from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Webinar on Zoom was attended by about 90 delegates from Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba, Punjab, Bopal and Guwahati. JKRCEA Chief, Dr Sanjay Bhasin presided over the Webinar.

All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha paid rich tributes to the Father of the Indian Constitution Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 129th birth anniversary at Kabir Bhawan, Chak Avtara Bishnah. President of the Sabha F C Bhagat remembered the contribution of the Baba Sahib in framing of Indian Constitution.
All India Students Federation (AISF) Jammu and Kashmir remembered Dr B R Ambedkar and P C Joshi on their 129th and 112nd birth anniversaries, respectively. State secretary AISF Ranbir Bandral while remembering Dr Ambedkar, said that Baba Sahib was not just a dalit leader but a true visionary who dared to re-imagine and re-cast social relations and its structures of hierarchy into a more democratic and progressive system.
President of NGO ‘Jiyo Aur Jeene Do’ Tariq Shah along with some members paid floral tributes to Baba Sahib Ambedkar in their office. Tariq Shah said the best homage can be paid to Baba Sahib by respecting our constitution and implementing it in true spirit.
A team of followers of Dr BR Ambedkar celebrated his birth anniversary under the banner of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Memorial Committee District Reasi in Reasi. The team distributed dry ration to the needy and poor families in the adjoining area of Reasi with the help District Administration.
The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association president R L Kaith offered floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar on his 129th birth anniversary, at his home. Kaith said Ambedkar’s vision of democracy and equality was closely related to good society, rationality and the scientific outlook.
The teachers of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School, Udhampur also celebrated birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar and paid floral tributes to him.
BJP senior vice president, Pawan Khajuria also paid glowing tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar at Party office Udhampur by maintaining the social distance. He garlanded the portrait of this great leader whom he described the Massiah of poor and downtrodden and founding father of Indian Constitution.
Khajuria regretted that the great leaders like Dr Ambedkar, Subash Chander Bose, Dr Shayama Prasad Mookherjee founder president of Bharatiya Jan Sagh who laid down his life for total integration of J&K with rest of country and former Home Minister, Sardar Patel were not given their due recognition by previous Congress governments at Delhi which was given by them to Nehru Gadhi families.
BJP IT Cell incharge, Jaidev Rajwal also paid floral tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar and described him one of the towering leaders of India. He said his contribution to nation is immense as he was a great votary of creating a class less society.
