JAMMU, Dec 4: Rural India Development Front (RIDF) today distributed Sashi-Prem Vashishth cash prize among the meritorious students of Government High School, Majua, Tehsil Bishnah.
Incharge Headmaster of the School, Jagdish Sharma presented the welcome address and also highlighted the achievements of the students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
Advocate Suhasni Vasisath while speaking said that Prem Vashishth belongs to village Majua and presently working in MNC. He added that this is his vision and support to the school from where he got his primary education.
Retd Headmaster Sarban Das and Sarpanch Raghu Nandan Khajuria were guests who distributed the cash prizes among the meritorious students.
Shubham Sharma of Class 10th was awarded with Rs 5000 for securing 75 per cent marks, while, Sonali Chowdhary of Class 9th Topper and Jeenam Chowdhary of Class 8th were awarded with Rs 1000 each for securing 75 per cent marks in their respective classes.
Among others present were Braham Datt Sharma, Sheela Sharma, Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra, Naib Sarpanch Bishnah Dass Sharma, Ex Sub and Lambardar Desh Bandu Sharma, faculty members, etc.
