RAMBAN, Aug 31: Awakening the youth of hilly region, former MLA and National Panther Party president Balwant Singh Mankotia today blamed that some political parties are exploiting and dividing innocent people on the name of caste, religion since 1947 for political gains and now time has come to teach them a lesson.
Addressing large gathering as a part of his party campaign for educating people on Article 35A and also seek public support for separate Jammu state, NPP leader said that these parties can not befool the people any more. He also discussed the article 35A issue with youth of hilly district and said time has come to delete this outdated law for betterment of the State.
Leading the 2nd phase of Haq-insaaf yatra started for separate statehood for Jammu region, NPP president informed that he is on tour of hilly areas of erstwhile Doda district and addressed rallies at Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Bhalessa, Assar, Mantalai and Ramban and highlighted the problems being faced by the people and youth of this hilly district.
Mankotia blamed the political parties for dividing people on the name of caste, religion and said now time has come to unite and teach a lesson to these political parties. These parties categorically neglected the erstwhile Doda district from basic amenities and people of this region are suffering from unemployment, education, road connectivity and other basic amenities. Political parties only misguided them on name of religion and article 35A issue and never tried to sort out the problems being faced by the people of hilly areas, Mankotia regretted.
NPP leader said that time has come to withdraw this outdated and old Article 35A so that youth of state avail the benefits of employment.
He also inducted 200 new youth delegates and announced 21 member Ramban district unit of youth committee and declared Samrat Singh Parihar as youth district president and Vikram Singh as vice president.
