There is no let up in suicide cases in the State. Almost everyday media reports about suicides by men, boys, girls and house wives. The rate at which these incidents occur is quite alarming and sends a shiver down the spine that something is quite wrong with our society. As far women, they are victims of either dowry or some domestic fends. While as boys and girls some of them have failed to pass examinations or have not lived upto the expectations of people.
The social scientists, psychological and media people should get involved with this subject and study the causes and consequences it will have on functioning of society. Besides they should find ways and means to arrest this ugly trend in coming times to make the society a healthy enough in which one does not feel suffocated or suppressed.
