SAMBA, Oct 15: Ritik Rayaan and Asif were among others who bagged gold medals in the 1st District Samba Taekwondo Cup, organized by District Samba Taekwondo Association, under the auspices of J&K Taekwondo Association at Ambedkar Public School, Vijaypur, here.
In boys section, Ritik clinched gold in 20 to 25 kg category, the silver and bronze medals in this event went to Raiyaz Ali and Ankush Kumar, while in 25 to 30 kg category, Asif claimed gold and the silver and bronze medals were clinched by Tarun Choudhary and Sumit Kumar.
The gold medalists in other weight categories included Jatinder Singh, Sameer Gupta, Amit Kumar, Amritpal Singh, Rohit Sharma, Shubam Bogal and Surjit Singh.
In girls section, the gold medalists included Sanjana, Richa Bharti, Bharti Bhagat, Kajal and Harpal Kour.
Priyanka Bharti was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while coach Davinder Singh was also present on the occasion.
The participating schools included BBN High School, Ambedkar Public School, National High School, Arvind Ghosh Higher Secondary School, New Blooming High School and Camps Kinder Garden High School.
