JAMMU, Oct 6: Ritvik Gupta will lock horns with Arya Gupta in the finals of Sub-junior boys category of the ongoing 44th Stag J&K UT & Inter-District Table Tennis Championship.
Improving from his last year’s performance, Arya Gupta sailed into the Sub-junior boys final defeating Archit Mahajan of Udhampur by 3-2, whereas in the 2nd semi-finals Ritvik Gupta continued his form from the District championships to enter into yet another final by defeating Rudraksh by 3-1.
Nitya Arora lifted the cadet girls title defeating Tuhina by 3-0.
In cadet boys semi-finals, Ritvik beat Pranit by 3-1, Gurasees trounced Gourav by 3-0, whereas in cadet girls finals, Nitya beat Tuheen by 3-0, in Hops boys finals, Pranit defeated Prajwa by 3-2 and in Sub-junior girls semi finals, Ragini got better of Nitya by 3-1 besides Mishti beat Niharika by 3-1.
In men’s first round, Arya beat Rakshan by 3-0, Pranav Khajuria trounced Junaid Iqbal by 3-2, Rajan defeated Mukeet by 3-0, Maanay beat Sarthak by 3-0, Jishnu defeated Sourav by 3-1, Qazi got better of Prabhjot by 3-0, Jayesh beat Lucky Mehta by 3-0, Nitin defeated Veerashwer by 3-0, Anuj beat Amit by 3-0, Mehboob Elahi trounced Varun Bhardwaj by 3-0 and Akshit defeated Ridhik by 3-0.
Prominent persons including Satbir Singh, Sanjay Wahi, Rajan Sharma, I.P Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Er Saleem Bandey (Secretary Poonch District TT Association), Ashok Singh (Sports Officer Jammu Province), Vikas Gupta (Joint secretary Judo Federation of India), Gurvinder Singh Sasan, Vasu Dewan, Sandeep Khadotra, Narinder Singh, Sheetal Gandotra & Sanjeev Gupta were present during the event.
