SRINAGAR, Dec 9: Real Kashmir FC and Inter Kashi played out a 1-1 draw in a thrilling I-League encounter at the TRC Ground in Srinagar, here today. Both teams now have 8 points each from 4 matches, occupying the top two spots on the league table.
The match started with Real Kashmir asserting their dominance early on, with midfielder Lalramsanga scoring a well-timed header in the 8th minute off a corner. The Snow Leopards controlled possession for much of the first half, putting Inter Kashi on the back foot.
However, Inter Kashi responded strongly in the second half. Spanish striker Domingo Berlanga equalized for the visitors in the 69th minute with a composed finish off a well-placed aerial through ball.
Both sides had chances to take the lead late in the game. Inter Kashi’s goalkeeper, Arindam Bhattacharya, denied Shahid Nazir’s top-corner attempt, while Real Kashmir’s Mohd Arbaz made a crucial save against Joni Kauko in the 86th minute. This was Real Kashmir’s final home match of the year. The team will next travel to Bhaini Sahib to face Namdhari on December 15.
