JAMMU, Dec 5: RM Public School celebrated its 4th Sports Cum Prize Distribution Function with pomp and show, here today.
Almost all the students from all the wings participated in the event.
The programme began with guard of honour by the students to the chief guest Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports and Presiding guest, Basant Kumar Rath, IG Home Guard. SK Jain, Yoga Commissioner (J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, Kanwaljeet Singh and Ram Singh Slathia, Everester were the guests of honour who graced the function with their presence.
The dignitaries and the parents were welcomed by the Trustee Rita Mengi and Chairman Rameshwar Mengi along with Principal Ravinder Kour.
The programme started with the lighting of flambeau by the sportspersons.
The students of different houses presented the march past with great enthusiasm and took the oath.
After that the students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as Yoga, Races, Skates and variety of dances. They mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances.
Chief guest Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman along with presiding guest and guest of honour distributed trophies, appreciation certificates and cheques of Rs 1000 to the meritorious students. He also distributed medals and appreciation certificates to the winners who excelled in sports activities outside the school.
The vote of thanks was presented by Chairman Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee Rita Mengi.
