Rohit of MP lifts Baba Kailakh Dev Dangal title

JAMMU, Oct 28: Wrestler Rohit Patel alias Ladoo of Madhya Pradesh lifted Baba Kailakh Dev Dangal title by defeating Jagroop of Amritsar in a neck to neck bout at Thathar, Bantalab.
In another bout, Jammu Kashmir Police (JKP) wrestler Benia studded wrestler Hasti Singh of Haryana Police.
On the occasion, Ajay Sadhotra, Member Legislative Council (MLC) along with Satpal Lakhotra, former MLA, Bharat Bhushan, MLA Raipur-Domana constituency, Shiv Kumar Sharma, president, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, distributed prizes among the winners.
Ajay Sadhotra alongwith other dignitaries presented Rs 61,000 as cash money to Rohit and Rs 40,000 was given to runner-up Wrestler Jagroop.
A cash prize of Rs 41,000 was also presented to Wrestler Benia and Rs 20,000 to Wrestler Hasti Singh.
While speaking, Ajay Sadhotra impressed upon the wrestlers to participate in the national and international level wrestling competitions so as to bring laurels to the State.
He appreciated the efforts of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association for organizing such competitions for the promotion of the wrestling and also to boost the morale of the wrestlers.
While speaking, Shiv Sharma said that association was focusing on promotion of the game of wrestling which has strong potentials in J&K and stressed upon other members of the association to channelize the potential of the wrestlers of the State in right direction.
