Sir,
Refer your article “Heroism vs Betrayal..”DE Apr 29, 2019. The role played by the army is quite different but is more important than the civil employees both in respect of working hours and the type of duty discharged by them. The civil employees are generally adjusted at their near places but the bravehearts are ready to be adjusted in far off places away from their homes and hearths. They do not have the amenities enjoyed by their counterparts especially in war days or when they are discharging their duties in disturbed areas. They are always bound to adhere to the rules and regulations and orders of their bosses even at the cost of their lives. For instance Kashmir where they are subjected to stone-pelting etc. Are they not the part and parcel of the society? Should they remain tightlipped and be ready to receive stones and get injured ? Are we not supposed lend all help when they perform their duties at war zones? So keeping in view the humanitarian aspect, we should at least be kind to them and think them as our own kiths and kins. Not only in war days but in peace days too they render social services to the people where they are stationed.
